Good old English spitefullness

What is it in the English nature that attacks anyone who does well. Tom Daley has stated that he has been suffering bullies at school, not heavy stuff petty little digs that add up to rejection one of the worst feelings in the world.

You can't get ahead or shine in UK without someone 'doing your legs' like it is a national sport to see how far you can be made to fall. Positive strong people are castrated by isolation of the group mentality. Excluded and talked about, not invited to things, their achievements even subjected to the crudest of comments.

There is something of a herd mentality in the UK, where the 'different' is unwittingly made to tow the line, conform, fit in, and if you step outside your calling or dare I say it 'class' you are quickly reminded where you belong.

I think UK has alot to be depressed about. It might be a beautiful country with a land of splendor, captivating vista's and breath taking coastlines but the people?

I have been at the sharp end of the isolation, recently at University as well a place of like minded my fucking ass! Artists can be so jealous and competitive. But here in Rotterdam I have found nothing but support and interest by the students and population as a whole. And the only negative??? comes from a British Student who carries the above behavior like a sodding Union Jack with lights on.

Me? negative...no just real...
