snubbing is actually snobbing

I was snubbed today, funny being snubbed. You say 'hello' and the person doing the snubbing purses lips tightly averts the gaze into a glaze and whisks by. Umm? you ponder...what is that about? as you giggle at the display of a playground display demonstration of rebuff.

I often wonder if snubbing is a form of snobbery, it is plain that the person doing the snubbing has perceived some form of action which the other is unawares, hence the jovial response of sniggery at the action of snubbing itself. The other must treat the snubbed with contempt by tighting the lips to avoid word spillage and exposure. But this unwittingly reveals more than words can transmit .

I don't like you, I'm mad at you, I don't want to be your friend...stamping your little school shoes on the floor...look at meeeeeeeee!!!!!

Well who would want a friend like you anyway?

So snub away and entertain me, I will only giggle and think of pampers and the terrible two's and probably buy you a lollipop for those pursed lips.

hellsharpie.
